The Plaza Mayor de Lima is located in the center of town and is surrounded by many beautiful and historic buildings.
The beautiful bright gold-yellow city hall on the west, along with other buildings on the south side, and the near-white cathedral on the east, lie in stark contrast with the dark and drab government building on the north.
This clean and bright square was a refreshing and beautiful surprise after driving through the old neighborhood near the cruise port.
